The Strawberry Festival was among the very first regional festivals that I attended Hampton Roads, before we were formally residing in the region. In case you haven’t been it is well worth the trip!

On-site in the festival you’ll locate food (much of it strawberry themed! ) ) , Plenty of great regional sellers, and plenty of fun. Live entertainment, carnival rides, livestock, army tributes, pig races, pony rides, not to mention the Parade.

When:

Carnival rides will be available on Friday, May 25th out of 5-10pm (wristbands available for $25), and Saturday 9am-7pm (Carnival will operate till 10pm), /Sunday from 9am-7pm.

The Festival runs both Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27, 2018 beginning at 9am. The Parade begins at 10am on the afternoon of Saturday, May 26th. There are no pets allowed in the Festival.

Where: You may locate the Pungo Strawberry Festival in 1776 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

Price: Parking is $10 and entrance to the festival it is totally free.

Princess Anne Road — Northbound lane closed from Indian River Road into Back Bay Farms entry (Designated Pedestrian Walkway)

Friday: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (available for sellers)

Heavy traffic and possible delays are anticipated along the following roadways–

  • Princess Anne Road out of Sandbridge Road to Indian River Road
  • Princess Anne Road from West Neck Road into Muddy Creek Road
  • New Bridge Road out of Indian River Road into Sandbridge Road
  • Sandbridge Beach through Indian River to Princess Anne into New Bridge streets.
